How much time do I have?

There are time limits to all disability claims and any delay in proceeding may be subject to a deadline so you should not delay in proceeding with your disability claim or obtaining legal advice to clarify these deadlines. We understand how important these timelines are and will respond to any call or email as soon as we can.

Employment lawyer fees

We are different from other law firms dealing with employment law and labour law because we work on contingency and you do not have to pay any fees unless you win.* There are no upfront costs and there are no fees until we settle your case. Everything is results-driven, and we only get paid if you get paid. It is part of our Share Law Guarantee.

*certain exceptions apply and in cases where we are not able to offer a contingency fee retainer, we will discuss the other options with you.

Employment and disability

We represent many clients who have been terminated from their jobs as a result of being unable to work due to illness or disability. You may feel that pushing yourself to continue to work is the right thing to do. However if your day-to-day work is suffering because of your symptoms or your health is declining because you are pushing yourself too hard, then it is best to apply for your short term disability and then your long term disability benefits. If you have been terminated from your job before you are able to submit a long term disability claim, contact us right away to discuss your situation further.
