A recent study suggests that individuals suffering from long COVID are more likely to exhibit damage to crucial organs. MRI scans indicated an increased likelihood—three times more—of irregularities in several organs such as the brain, kidneys, and lungs amongst these patients. Researchers believe there could be a connection between these organ abnormalities and the severity of the disease. The findings from this UK-based study are anticipated to contribute to the formulation of more effective treatments for long Covid.
