Professional Experience
Karine Rita Hajje has been a member of the Ontario Bar since 2005. With nearly 20 years of experience, she practices exclusively in plaintiff-side disability law, advocating solely for injured individuals and their families to help them obtain the compensation they deserve from insurance companies. Karine brings extensive litigation experience before courts and administrative tribunals, including appearances before the Court of Appeal. She has successfully resolved a significant number of cases through negotiated settlements and her dedicated and strategic approach has secured meaningful compensation for hundreds of clients and their families. In addition to her legal practice, Karine is deeply committed to human rights advocacy through her pro bono work. She helped Rainbow Railroad establish its Middle East and Africa branch to support LGBTQ+ individuals facing violence and persecution and contributed to the International Justice Mission’s efforts to combat slavery and sexual exploitation. She has also guest lectured at Toronto Metropolitan University on preventing child sex tourism. Most recently, Karine joined Humanist Canada, a national charity promoting the separation of religion from public policy and fostering reason, compassion, and critical thinking through secular education and community engagement.
