Professional Experience

Helen joined Share Lawyers in 2024. Helen obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. She was called to the Bar in 2013 after a 20 year career as a paralegal. She has an extensive background in civil litigation, family law, child welfare and administrative law. In addition to a Juris Doctor, Helen has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Certificate of Forensic Psychology from Dalhousie University and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Helen’s focus throughout her career has been on fighting for the rights of citizens to prevent them from being disadvantaged by our courts and government systems.

Hobbies

Although originally from Nova Scotia, Helen has resided in Alberta since 2003 and has adopted Alberta as her home. In her free time, Helen enjoys working out and hosting social events.
