Brad Pleavin is Independent Counsel with Share Lawyers, practising exclusively in the area of long term disability law. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and brings nearly decades of focused experience advocating for individuals whose insurance benefits have been denied or terminated. Brad is a graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and completed his articles with a national full-service firm in downtown Toronto. Over the course of his career, he has represented hundreds of clients in complex disability and life insurance disputes and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and administrative tribunals, including the former Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Brad’s practice includes conducting examinations for discovery, leading settlement negotiations, participating in mediations, and appearing before courts and tribunals. He is known as a practical, compassionate, and tenacious advocate, with a strong focus on achieving efficient and favourable outcomes for clients navigating challenging insurance disputes.
