Can A Friend Or Family Member Accompany Me To A Mediation Meeting?

Legal Definitions - Question 3
In most cases the answer to this question is yes. This friend or family member would usually be asked to sign a Confidentiality agreement as all matters discussed at mediation are considered confidential and as they are non-parties to the litigation, without signing such an agreement they may not be bound to keeping the proceedings confidential.
