Please know we are working hard to settle your lawsuit as quickly as possible. On average, it takes about a year from when we start the lawsuit to reach a settlement. However, some cases settle faster, while others take a bit longer.

Several factors affect the timing of your case. It usually takes a few months to start your lawsuit after you sign the retainer. We send notice letters to the insurer and your employer to request your file and policy. Once we receive this information, we draft the Statement of Claim, and you'll get a copy. The Defendants will then acknowledge the lawsuit and provide their Statement of Defence, explaining why they denied your claim. We also gather records from your medical providers to support your case. Finally, we reach out to schedule a mediation or settlement meeting, though these can take months to arrange due to busy schedules.
