Don’t Feel Like You Have To Do It All

Often, cancer patients feel pressure to always maintain a cheery and positive for those around them. But you are only human! If you are having a down day or in pain, it’s important to recognize those emotions and physical symptoms so that you are able to make your way through your illness. Keep a diary of your symptoms and feelings, take time for self-care, and ask for what you need. Eat well, relax, and get enough rest.

Taking time off work and making a disability claim should not make you feel guilty, frustrated, or anxious -- you need to take the time it take you to recover.

Stay Active

You may be experiencing different limitation when receiving treatment or in recovery for your Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but remember that when you feel up for it, it’s important to get active. Staying active doesn’t just mean physical exercise. Try to stay engaged with your social circles with those whom you share common interests in.
